McKayla joined the Southside family in 2023, after a cross-country move from Alberta to be closer to family. Born and raised out west, she earned her diploma in Animal Health Technology from Grande Prairie Regional College and achieved her RVT status in 2021, then spent two years in a mixed animal practice before heading east. McKayla loves animals of all shapes and sizes, and shares her home with her two cats, Pookie and Sammy, and her Labrador, George.
